Ghallia Attars
Al Gha'liyah
A Reworking of Ghallia Abbasi. Legacy Rebalanced.
Al Ghaliyah is, in essence, Ghallia Abbasi reborn. It carries the same structure, the same DNA, and the same Abbasid inspiration—but with one deliberate recalibration.
Where Ghallia Abbasi consumed our full reserves of the rarest musks—Siberian, Mongolian, Tonkin, and Kashmiri—Al Ghaliyah shifts the balance by placing greater emphasis on the Kashmiri and Himalayan musk in Mysore sandalwood accord, originally macerated for us in Dubai. In this iteration, that accord forms the majority share of the composition (around 65%), creating a smoother, more approachable profile while allowing us to offer the fragrance at a reduced cost.
The result is not a compromise, but a refinement: Abbasi’s grandeur distilled into a more wearable and sustainable form. The opulent rose, saffron, Mysore sandalwood, ambergris, and oud remain, but their interplay is now anchored more deeply by the expanded musk-sandalwood accord—velvety, resinous, and harmoniously binding the composition together.
Available in 2.5g bottles
Key Adjustments in Composition
-
Kashmiri & Himalayan Musk in Mysore Sandalwood (Dubai-Macerated)
– Elevated to ~65% of the total structure
– Provides warmth, depth, and a lasting resinous smoothness
– The core around which Al Ghal’iyah revolves
-
Other Musk Accords (Siberian, Mongolian, Tonkin)
– Still present but in reduced proportions, echoing Abbasi’s original richness
-
Taif Rose (2025, Hand-Picked by Al Hashimi Team)
– Jammy and luminous, bound with musk for unusual longevity
-
Persian Saffron, Mysore Sandalwood (1990s Vintage), Ambergris, and Select Ouds
– Retained as in Abbasi, maintaining the noble backbone of the composition
The Legacy
Al Ghaliyah honours Abbasi’s spirit by preserving its rare materials and Abbasid inspiration, but rebalances the structure to make the fragrance more accessible. Where Abbasi was a one-time monument of rarity, Al Ghaliyah is the continuation of that heritage—wearable, sustainable, and enduring.
It is the same masterpiece, but with its weight shifted to the luminous heart of Kashmiri and Himalayan musk in Mysore sandalwood.
