SANTALMISK II

Santalmisk II

After the original Santal Misk sold out in record time, leaving many of our patrons disappointed, we refused to let its story end there. With much persuasion - truthfully, closer to begging - we convinced our supplier to part with the critical raw materials needed to resurrect what we consider the most remarkable attar we had ever created before Ghallia Abbasi.

Some of these materials are vintage treasures, nearly impossible to source again. Without a time machine, this recreation may never be possible in the future. If you missed out the first time, this is your final opportunity to experience this extraordinary scent.

Where do I even begin? It’s as though I’ve uncorked a memory of primal elegance, a scent that whispers of forbidden forests and glimmers of golden light. The sandalwood strikes first: rich, creamy, almost velvety. It’s not the polished kind you find in a drawer of antiques but the living, breathing heart of a tree, full of warmth and depth.

And then there’s the musk. Oh, the musk. It’s animalic, yes, but not in a way that shocks. It lingers, unfurling in layers—softly feral, deeply intimate, and utterly addictive. It gives the sandalwood a pulse, a kind of heartbeat as if the two were always destined to entwine.

As the scent evolves, it becomes headier, almost hypnotic. There’s a sense of time having passed, like these elements have been left to steep together in secret, their union perfected in quiet alchemy. It’s both familiar and otherworldly—comforting yet dangerously alluring.

Santalmisk isn’t just a fragrance; it’s a statement, an atmosphere, an experience. It wears like a second skin, whispering confidence and untamed sophistication. I can’t help but feel that it wasn’t made for me—I was made for it.

Available in a 2.5g bottle

Wow, this is a very nice balanced fusion.

Does not smell run of the mill.
I've smelled many from many vendor's and my own macerations. Most vendor's smell smilar to what one can make at home. The exceptional ones use exceptional sandalwood oil, which is one factor which makes quite a difference but your's has few additional factors the age the balance and most importantly the type and quality of the musk itself.
It's not the usual Siberian or Mongolian that people usually obtain from Sibermusk at least to my limited experienced nose. Not Kashmiri either.
To my nose It's Nepali.
I could be wrong of course. But, this stuff is delightful and elegant, neither does the musk over power, neither does the sandalwood overpower at any point.
Your website description is spot on.
What sandalwood oil did you use for this,?
How many years did you age this?
Nice one to start with, to be honest, I wasn't expecting this!

Today, just took a tiny dab of Santal Misk and it is insane!
No other sandal+musk combo comes even close.
I really want to understand what went into it?
Sandalwood oil of which region of what year? Musk??? I do not understand what musk this is. The animalic note is subtle yet remains throughout! And how long did it sit to age? I am just in awe of this one.
This is a perfect balance of sandal and musk I have ever smelled!
