The Zamzam Collection represents the zenith of Artisanal Oud production using Zamzam water from Mecca. This is the world's first and only such collection started in 2020 with our first Zamzam release - Thai Zamzam - distilled in our Khobar-based Saudi Arabian distillery by one of our co-founders.  At Al Hashimi, we are proud to have pioneered this approach to using Zamzam water to craft the finest and most inspired Artisanal Oud creations regardless of cost.  Every one of the oils in this collection are a labour of love with the cost of the raw materials not matching the price these oils retail for.

Inspired by the serenity and sanctity of the Rawdah, located within the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, Rawdah Artisanal Oud is a scent that captures the essence of this revered place. Known as the 'Garden from the gardens of Paradise,' the Rawdah is a spiritual retreat for those visiting the mosque. Crafted meticulously by hand and distilled in 2024 from a rich blend of cultivated Kinam, wild Kalimantan incense grade chips, and wild Khao Yai sinking grade chips, this artisanal oud exudes an aura of purity and peace. If you were to guess its origin based on scent alone, the Malay archipelago might come to mind for its exotic richness, yet this fragrance stands out distinctively even among the rarest Thai oils.

From the moment Rawdah touches your skin, it opens with a symphony of beautiful white florals, setting a light, airy tone. The indolic richness of jasmine weaves through this floral tapestry, adding depth and a touch of mystique, while a sandalwoody base provides a warm, grounding effect. The addition of bay leaf introduces a slight spiciness, reminiscent of a morning breeze in a lush garden, energizing and pure.

As the fragrance evolves, around 5 to 10 minutes after application, it delves deeper into its floral core. The scent blossoms into a richer, sweeter bouquet, enhancing the initial floral notes with a complex, kinamic bitterness that is as intriguing as it is delightful. This stage of the scent is like a walk through a blooming garden at the peak of spring, where every turn brings a new and intoxicating floral surprise, each breath a blend of sweetness and a subtle, captivating bitterness.

After about 30 minutes, the base notes of Rawdah begin to unfold, transporting you to an oriental spice market with its rich, evocative aromas. The creamy white florals continue to permeate the blend, now paired with a playful hint of bubblegum, creating a nostalgic yet sophisticated finish. This unique combination of scents culminates in a base that is both mysterious and comforting, like an evening stroll through a vibrant market, where the air is filled with the promise of wonders and sweet delights.
